Reading Group: "Stamped from the Beginning"

During this 5-session reading group series, we will be discussing Ibram X. Kendi's ""Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America."" We will meet every other Thursday during fall quarter, and we ask that you dedicate yourself to coming to all 5 sessions (dates below) -- this way we can really get to know one another. Participants should read one section of the book (link to download or listen below) before each meeting to prepare for discussion, but there will be a short summary at the beginning to jog our memories and catch you up in case you couldn't finish the whole section. There are 5 parts in the book (1 for each meeting), and they range from 50-100 pages. Come with your reactions, questions, and feelings: this is a space to challenge one another, learn, and hold each other accountable!

Every other Thursday during fall quarter, 4:00 - 5:30pm Pacific Time: 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3

Please read the first part prior to our first meeting (10/8)
