Police Abolition Work/Study Session
PLEASE NOTE: We are taking a break with the Police Abolition Study/Work Group for the rest of the summer. We will be back in the Fall, so please check our website in September for future events. Description: In this working session, we will come together to brainstorm and gather information and resources around the following topics, so that they can be used to develop community teach-ins and workshops for Strike U’s ongoing Abolitionist UC project:
- Histories of policing
- Alternatives to policing
- Current Defund Police Campaigns
- Police in Educational Institutions
- Perspectives from Outside the US
- Local Resources (Davis, Santa Cruz, etc)
- Othes TBD
