Police Abolition Work/Study Session



PLEASE NOTE: We are taking a break with the Police Abolition Study/Work Group for the rest of the summer. We will be back in the Fall, so please check our website in September for future events. Description: In this working session, we will come together to brainstorm and gather information and resources around the following topics, so that they can be used to develop community teach-ins and workshops for Strike U’s ongoing Abolitionist UC project:

  • Histories of policing
  • Alternatives to policing
  • Current Defund Police Campaigns
  • Police in Educational Institutions
  • Perspectives from Outside the US
  • Local Resources (Davis, Santa Cruz, etc)
  • Othes TBD

If you already have resources to share, please bring them to the working session!!
