Gut-Knowing and Panza Awareness

Facilitator: Sonia Suarez (UCB)

Audience: This workshop is QTBIPOC (queer trans black and indigenous people of color) and femme-centered space, though allies are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate.

This teach-in introduces new, empowering ways to see the connection between mind and body by showing how the biomedical knowledge of neurogastroenterology aligns with our own embodied and ancestral knowledges of ourselves. With both psychoeducation and participant dialogue, we practice ways to build awareness of ourselves and how our gastrointestinal systems connect to other parts of our lives, and we experiment ways to use our gut-feelings as valid sources of knowledge.
