Financialization, precarity and pensions in Higher Education

Facilitated by Deepa Govindarajan Driver (University of Reading)

In this session, I'd like to discuss financialization in HE as the backdrop for the increased job insecurity, destruction of staff pensions and trade union mobilisation

Deepa Govindarajan Driver is a trade unionist and a member of the National Executive Committee of the University & College Union. As a mother of two young children, and as a disabled woman of colour, Deepa will share her experiences of the perils and joys of activism, union organising and solidarity.
