Creative Office Hours in Arabic

Facilitator: Tory Brykalski, UCD

Join Arabic speaking teacher/students for a discussion on #HalfofSyria's report 'The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Syrians: An Analysis by Syrian Civil Society' (https://bit.ly/3ew0Cc7) and collective translation of the Asian American Feminist Collective's 'Care in the Time of Coronavirus' (@AAFC) (https://bit.ly/2ViJ0sB). Nora Berzawi will read from her short story Ein is for Nest and Mohamad Al Jounde will share his photographic work. This week we will also discuss the $34 million jail / ICE detention center expansion project planned for Yolo County. What kinds of politics are possible in a pandemic? What kinds of solidarity?
